What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

Tab Trade - The Short Version

TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you know MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently coming. That should make the platform set once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Good for beginners.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

The execution is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. The average platform run a much wider range.

Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Here is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of your assessment.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
